The scientists at Pacific Analytics often
conduct independent research to support our clients needs for reliable,
unbiased, scientific information.
Since 2002, Pacific Analytics personnel
have been monitoring the Wēkiu bug, a candidate
for listing as an endangered species. The goal of this monitoring is to
establish baseline population estimates that will be used to measure the
effectiveness of habitat protection and restoration protocols, and the
impacts, if any, due to construction of
NASA’s Outrigger Telescopes Project.
We offer here the story of this amazing
insect.
